A Very Terry Christmas (Part 2 of 2)

Our year-end wishes to you wrap up (ho-ho) with this gift: the final five Milton Caniff Terry and the Pirates December 25th daily strips from 1941-1943 and 1945-46 (Christmas Day 1944 fell on a Sunday). In all the history of comics there are few more beautiful and poignant strips than Caniff’s Christmas Day 1945 tribute to Frank Higgs, friend and inspiration for Terry character Dude Hennick; Higgs had died on October 20th of that year.

From everyone at The Library of American Comics, thank you for making us part of your entertainment choices, and please accept our wishes for the very best of holidays!
